Kojic Acid
Kojic Acid is a natural by-product of fermenting rice, the same process behind Japanese sake. In skincare, it is prized for helping dark marks and patchy areas look more even. It works gradually, so consistent daily use matters. Paired with Niacinamide, it makes this kojic acid serum a focused even-tone step for the face.

Niacinamide
Niacinamide is a water-soluble form of Vitamin B3 and one of skincare’s great multitaskers. It supports the skin’s own production of barrier lipids such as ceramides. In turn, skin holds on to moisture better. Over time, it also helps patchy, uneven areas look smoother and more even, including marks left by breakouts. Best of all, it is gentle and suits most skin types.

Aloe Ferox
Aloe Ferox is South Africa’s indigenous aloe, native to the Cape. In fact, local skincare has relied on it for generations. Its inner gel is rich in polysaccharides that soothe and hydrate the skin. Plus, it gives your range a genuinely local hero to talk about.

Propylene Glycol: A clear, lightweight humectant. It adds hydration and also helps the formula spread smoothly across the skin.

Xanthan Gum: A plant-derived gum that gives the serum a light, silky feel.

Essential Oil version (Polysorbate 80, Essential Oil & Tocopherol): Only in the scented version. Each brand chooses the essential oil, and we declare it on the label with any allergens it contains.

Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Benzoate & Potassium Sorbate: A paraben-free, formaldehyde-free system that protects against bacteria, yeast and mould. As a result, it keeps the product fresh from first use to last.

Disodium EDTA: Not a preservative, but a helper. It binds the trace minerals naturally found in water, so they cannot affect the formula. As a result, the product stays clear, fresh and working as it should.

Sodium Gluconate: A gentle helper made from glucose, a natural sugar. It binds the trace minerals found naturally in water, which helps the actives keep working at their best.

Sodium Metabisulfite: Used in a tiny amount as an antioxidant. It helps protect delicate actives from the air, so the product keeps its colour and effectiveness.

How to Use:

After cleansing and toning, smooth two to three drops over the face and neck, or press onto areas where tone looks uneven. As this is a potent serum, ease it in: start two to three times a week and build up slowly as your skin adjusts. Use morning or evening, then follow with moisturiser. Always wear sunscreen during the day. Avoid the eye area and broken skin. Avoid layering with retinol, other Vitamin A products or exfoliating acids in the same routine.
