From a small tweak to an existing formula, right through to a product that has never existed before. Here is exactly how it works — so you know what to expect before you even email us.
The roadmap
Nine steps, though not everyone needs all of them. If you are building on one of our existing formulas, steps three and four do not apply and things move a good deal faster.
Email us with your idea — even a rough one. The more you can tell us, the faster we can move: what kind of range, roughly what volumes, who it is for, the texture you have in mind, and any ingredients you would like us to work with.
Start from our existing facial and body formulas, or brief us on something entirely your own. Everything is vegan and cruelty-free, and we do not make whitening products. If you are working from our range, you can skip straight to fragrance and packaging.
If you have asked for something custom, this is where we find out whether it can actually be made the way you want it. We look at ingredient sourcing, stability, how it will behave over time, and what it costs to produce at your volumes — then come back to you honestly.
Once the formula and pricing are confirmed, we make your first sample — usually around 7 working days, since we may need to source ingredients in. Then you try it. Sometimes it is a yes straight away. More often there are changes — a little lighter, a different scent, a slightly richer finish — and we go through rounds until it is exactly what you had in mind. We would rather get it right than get it fast.
Choose from a wide range of fragrances, go completely unscented, or develop a signature scent that is yours alone. This is also where we lock in the final texture and feel.
Bulk tubs when you are filling your own, or individually packaged glass and plastic in the sizes that suit your range. Minimums stay low, so you can start small: 1 kg for a bulk formula, or 10 units packaged.
Our in-house design team can turn your brand into finished labels and packaging artwork, and arrange printing for you. This is an optional add-on rather than part of the product price, quoted separately based on your artwork, materials and quantities.
Once your specification is signed off, your batch goes into production. Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting — it is made for you, so it reaches your customers with a full shelf life ahead of it.
Your order is couriered anywhere in South Africa, with tracking once it leaves us. Then the good part: it goes on your shelf, under your name.
