Colloidal oats have soothed skin for generations, while Aloe Ferox, South Africa’s own aloe, adds soothing hydration. As a result, your oatmeal face wash leaves skin clean, soft and calm-feeling after every rinse.

In addition, green tea brings antioxidant care and niacinamide supports the skin’s moisture barrier. Grapeseed, avocado and sunflower oils give the wash its creamy, cushioning feel. The cleansers come from coconut and sugar, so the lather stays mild.

Colloidal Oats
Colloidal oatmeal is oats milled so finely they disperse into the wash. It has soothed skin for generations, thanks to natural compounds called avenanthramides and beta-glucans. In this oatmeal face wash, it leaves a soft, protective feel behind, so skin feels calm and cared for rather than tight after rinsing.

Aloe Ferox
Aloe Ferox is South Africa’s indigenous aloe, native to the Cape. In fact, local skincare has relied on it for generations. Its inner gel is rich in polysaccharides that soothe and hydrate the skin. Plus, it gives your range a genuinely local hero to talk about.

Green Tea Extract
Green tea leaf extract is naturally rich in polyphenols, especially catechins such as EGCG. These antioxidants help defend skin against everyday environmental stress. In addition, green tea helps skin feel soothed and refreshed after cleansing.

Niacinamide
Niacinamide is a water-soluble form of Vitamin B3 and one of skincare’s great multitaskers. It supports the skin’s own production of barrier lipids such as ceramides. In turn, skin holds on to moisture better. Over time, it also helps patchy, uneven areas look smoother and more even, including marks left by breakouts. Best of all, it is gentle and suits most skin types.

Rose Geranium Flower Water
Rose geranium flower water is the fragrant water collected when geranium flowers are distilled. It brings a fresh, rosy-green scent and a softly refreshing feel. As a result, a simple cleanse feels like a small daily ritual.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine & Coco-Glucoside: Cocamidopropyl Betaine and Coco-Glucoside are mild cleansers derived from coconut oil and sugar. They create a soft, creamy lather that lifts away oil and grime without stripping.

Grapeseed Oil: Grape seeds left over from winemaking give us this light, quick-absorbing oil. It is also rich in linoleic acid, a fatty acid that helps keep skin supple. Best of all, it leaves a silky, non-greasy finish.

Avocado Oil: A rich, nourishing oil pressed from the fruit, naturally full of oleic acid and vitamins. It helps skin feel soft and supple after cleansing.

Sunflower Oil: A light, linoleic-rich oil that helps skin feel soft and supple after cleansing.

Glycerin: A humectant that draws water into the outer layers of the skin and helps keep it there. As a result, skin feels hydrated rather than tight.

Vitamin E: Tocopherol is a fat-soluble antioxidant. Because of this, it helps defend skin against everyday environmental stress. Vitamin E also conditions dry patches, leaving skin soft and cared for.

Texture ingredients: Cetearyl Alcohol (a plant-derived fatty alcohol, not the drying kind), PEG-20 Stearate and Xanthan Gum give the face wash its creamy, lotion-like body. As a result, it spreads easily and rinses clean.

Lavender and Rose Oils: Lavender and Damask rose essential oils give the wash its soft floral scent. We declare them on the label, together with the allergens they contain.

Linalool, Citronellol & Geraniol: These occur naturally in lavender, rose and geranium. We list them in full because they are declared fragrance allergens.

Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Benzoate & Potassium Sorbate: A paraben-free, formaldehyde-free system that protects against bacteria, yeast and mould. As a result, it keeps the product fresh from first use to last.

Disodium EDTA: Not a preservative, but a helper. It binds the trace minerals naturally found in water, so they cannot affect the formula. As a result, the product stays clear, fresh and working as it should.

Lactic Acid: A gentle, skin-friendly acid. We use just a tiny amount to keep the face wash gentle on skin.

How to Use:

Wet your face with lukewarm water. Massage a small amount into the skin for about 30 seconds, then rinse well and pat dry. Use morning or evening, or both. Follow with toner, serum and moisturiser. As a gentle rinse-off step, it fits into most routines, including ones with exfoliating acids or Vitamin A such as retinol or retinyl. It also makes a soft choice on days your skin feels dry from those products. Avoid the eyes and lips. Avoid broken or irritated skin. It contains lavender and rose essential oils, so avoid it if you are sensitive to either, or allergic to oats. If it gets into the eyes, rinse well with water. For external use only.
