Salicylic Acid
Salicylic Acid is a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) and the go-to for congested skin. Unlike water-loving AHAs, it is oil-soluble. That means it can work its way into the oil within pores. There, it helps loosen the build-up of dead cells and sebum behind bumps and blackheads. With regular use, this salicylic acid serum helps keep pores clear and skin looking smoother.

Niacinamide
Niacinamide is a water-soluble form of Vitamin B3 and one of skincare’s great multitaskers. It supports the skin’s own production of barrier lipids such as ceramides. In turn, skin holds on to moisture better. Over time, it also helps patchy, uneven areas look smoother and more even, including marks left by breakouts. Best of all, it is gentle and suits most skin types.

Aloe Ferox
Aloe Ferox is South Africa’s indigenous aloe, native to the Cape. In fact, local skincare has relied on it for generations. Its inner gel is rich in polysaccharides that soothe and hydrate the skin. Plus, it gives your range a genuinely local hero to talk about.

Glycerin: A humectant that draws water into the outer layers of the skin and helps keep it there. As a result, skin feels hydrated rather than tight.

Propylene Glycol: A clear, lightweight humectant. It adds hydration and also helps the formula spread smoothly across the skin.

Texture ingredients: Polysorbate 80 and Xanthan Gum give the serum its light, silky texture. As a result, it glides on easily and sinks in without stickiness.

Triethanolamine: Used in a small amount to keep the formula balanced and gentle on skin.

Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Benzoate & Potassium Sorbate: A paraben-free, formaldehyde-free system that protects against bacteria, yeast and mould. As a result, it keeps the product fresh from first use to last.

Disodium EDTA: Not a preservative, but a helper. It binds the trace minerals naturally found in water, so they cannot affect the formula. As a result, the product stays clear, fresh and working as it should.

How to Use:

After cleansing and toning, smooth two to three drops over the face and neck, avoiding the eyes and lips. Use morning or evening, then follow with moisturiser. If your skin is sensitive or dry, ease it in: start every other day for the first one to two weeks, then build up. Always wear sunscreen during the day. Avoid broken or irritated skin. Not suitable for anyone allergic to aspirin or salicylates. Not to be used on children under 3 years of age. Avoid layering with other exfoliating acids, such as a glycolic toner, in the same routine, as this may be sensitising. The same goes for Vitamin C serums and Vitamin A products such as retinol, retinal or retinyl. You can still use them on the same day. For example, use this serum in the morning and the other at night. For external use only. Patch test before first use.
